Topics for Essay 2

            I have only been living in Pittsburgh for about a year, so it’s a little difficult to think of palces that can be unique. Right away you have to eliminate Heinz field, PNC Park, and Mellon Arena. If you live in Pittsburgh or anywhere nearby, those places have become second nature to you. I don’t believe I can come up with a different angle on these places to give people another way to enjoy them. Other places I had thought about using were places like Kennywood Park and Sandcastle. Once again I believe it would be difficult to come with different sieds of the places to inform people of their existence. Most people in the city have been to these two places numerous times.

            A place that I have considered is Mount Washington. Most people know about the fine dining and great views that Mount Washington can provide, but alot of people have no idea about the history that is behind Mount Washington. I know a little bit how Mount Washington has transformed over the years to what is has become now. I definitely believe I can inform and educate people on the history and old days of Mount Washington. There are alot of interesting storylines that I can bring to the forefront. This place works better than those others because it doesn’t carry the headline power of those other places. Plus, Mount Washington carries a much richer history than the others. It is also a major part of other places that make Pittsburgh the city it is.
